I feel as I'm not living my life to full potential sometimes.

I feel a lot more enthusiastic and passionate about my life since I came to know that God created me with good works that He planned in advance for me to do that have eternal significance.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Before I came to Christ I tried to do good deeds but after a while I would watch the news on TV or read the paper and I realized that my efforts were like trying to shovel the sea with a sieve.

Now I'm working in partnership with my all knowing Creator who has gifted me and called me to do those things that He placed me here on earth to do. When a person comes to that point in their life, how can they help but feel more enthusiastic and passionate?

Unless you live an unrealistic, not viable way of life, you'll always ask yourself this question. I think that there are two things, living to full potential and trying to live full potential. You cannot live your life being enthusiastic 100% the time, because after a while, you won't be able to find much satisfaction from it, since you wouldn't have nothing to compare it against. If, when you go to bed, you feel happy, fulfilled and sleep like a baby, have no remorse of how you lived your day, and are looking forward to tomorrow, you're doing ok!

Try living you life in service to others, find people who are enthusiastic and make friends with them. Don't confuse passion with extremism, don't get trapped into thinking only one way or caught in a cult.

Travel the world and see what is out there. Then come back after working around the world and say to an empoyer that you have vastexperience in something, employ me.

Go do a martial art form and teach that. Best thing you can do instead of wondering about yourself and feeling alone.

The only way I know to LIVE the life you have, is to be courageous and accept the challenges that come your way with honor and integrity. You may lose your life in such a lifestyle, but you will have lived before you die.

Playing it safe is fruitless on all levels.

Well, for starters try living up to your ID name. "Carpediem" is Latin for Seize The Day =)
Look forward to every day, find something you take great pride/ pleasure in family, kids/ spouses/ girlfiends (if any) and make that your priority.
Go for a holiday or take time to learn your spiritual faith - many people feel fulfilled through their faith in their God.
Finally, avoid self-pity, be thankful for your blessings, enjoy your life while you still can.

I used to be like that, and I realize it's because I don't have a "passion", an extreme interest in something. so now I'm looking for one.

Watch more. The trees are awesome. Even people are pretty cool. But, you know, they're different if you just watch. I guess this is a variation on the "smell the roses" theory, but it all really depends on what you value.

You are looking in the wrong place for the answer... Look inside youself, you already know the answer. It's your life, don't let other peoples opinions on life guide you...
