If Granholm wanted to improve the economy, why doesn't she do away with the Single Business Tax (SBT)? MICHIGAN IS THE ONLY STATE WITH A SBT! It is killing our business climate. Yet, Granholm is filibustering every effort to repeal the notorious tax, and she has threatened to veto any bills trying to repeal the SBT.
That would be a quick and easy answer. Yet, she doesn't support it. Why?!?

I have to agree in part with you here on the Engler fiasco.
I dont see much in the way of anything that she has done either good or bad, and that to me is the same as doing more damage.
All the money that the state gets from tax revenue lottery sales and general funding that are supposedly going to schools appears to not be getting to them.
All the time seeing millages being asked for schools closing etc etc etc. Tax payers had to pay for Coamerica park ( the new tiger stadium) The Roads are always under construction and are never any better after its done ( unless you go to Lansing)
Manufacturing jobs are being slighted for high tech foriegn companies that dont employ hardly anyone from the local area.
And Granholm stands behind this look at the toyota deal in Milan.
They bought land for a tech center for a fraction of the price that a Michigan based housing developer had offered the state.
So apparently she really is no better than Engler, she just flies a different flag is all.

First you say she doesn't have a majority of dems and then you say she does. Make up your mind, or are you a dem?
****************************************************************
She also doesn't have a state house or senate with enough Democrats in it to back her up.
Just like Clinton was supposed to accomplish anything in the White House with a majority of Republicans in both houses, how can Granholm do anything with a majority of Democrats in both state houses?
Yes, voters are stupid. They want quick and easy answers, and there are none.

Same reason Engler was blamed for the problems created by Blanchard. And you mean a majority of Republicans, since she's a Democrat.

Well, Governor Granholm is the current governor and most people do not research things. They're putting most of the blame on her.

If the last Governor was the problem you have this to deal with and if this Governor is the the trouble you still have a problem .Why not deal with the problem instead of looking for someone to blame

It's a standard tactic to blame the previous adminstration for the present administrations mistakes. Bush / Clinton is a perfect example.

She hasnt even attempted to solve any of the problems Michigan has. In fact she has seemingly worked very hard to make things worse than they were. Hence the reason voters dont like her.
