Well it depends on the category you are talking about.... But D-Day was June 6th, 1944.... that was the day Allied Forces executed Operation Overlord.... the invasion into France during WWII. It consisted of both sea and air assaults onto the northern coast of France and airborne and glider assaults behind the German front lines.
