I have heard that the kids should go to the one that is responsible of taking care of the kids. Okay. I have to disagree to a point. If dad is working a Mcdonald's because that is the only job that he can get employment for does that make him any less of a responsible parent. He is paying his child support, so shouldn't he have half of the custodial responsibilities that is given fully to one parent based on the idea that one parent has treated his significant other poorly. Yet he was a good parent to the children. We as Americans must step up to the plate and see that such laws are replaced with reasonable laws that give both parents the responsibility to see and raise their children. The courts are only making money off of child support enforcement by charging interest on back child support. when this money can stay in the households where it belongs, because many non-custodial parents are giving money to the custodial parent on the side and still paying child support.
