I was in the Air Force driving 1000 miles to go home for a month leave. While I was driving in the high mountains around Reno, I fell asleep. I was traveling about 85 mph. My truck veered off the highway. As soon as I felt the truck leave the highway, I woke up and found I was heading downward on the gravel part of the side of the highway. My truck seemed to be driving itself I was in shock. The steering wheel was moving under my hands. I can't describe it any better than this. As the truck moved back up to the highway, I pulled over and tried to calm down. It was a really frightening moment. What was even more frightening was just 1/4 mile more and the side of the highway no longer had gravel. There were large boulders. I still get chills thinking about it.

Till the day I die, I know I was not the one driving my truck at that moment.

btw - I have had several other experiences where the circumstances involved other than human interaction. I guess I am just one of the few to have been fortunate enough to experience it.

Wouldn't a guardian angel be a white lighter? That's what I think anyway, and my guardian angel has been very busy for the last 40+ years. Have I actually seen my angel? The first time I died, seriously, I went to a very peaceful place that was a beautiful green. As it turned out, my grandmother was there as well as a dear friend of mine who were both dead. Personally, I don't care how many people think that I might be "bonkers", I know what I saw and how I felt. Shortly after that encounter I was brought back to life with a very sudden jerk. I realized that I was in the hospital in ICU and the doctors had tied me down to keep me from hurting myself. Apparently, I had tried to get up off of the bed to join the others. So....I believe in guardian angels whether or not they can be seen in this life.

I was at 7 11 and was buying a pack of smokes...Winstons if I remember right...and there it was to the left of me...It scared the crap out of me but when I realized what it was, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, A shiny white lighter...by bic I believe. I had to have it, so I spent the 99 cents and it was mine all mine...until some one asked to borrow it. That was the last I had seen it, I still see now and then, I know that you can't own one, but it's good to know that it's being passed around, from one person to another as the world asks for a light...

just a little tip.....TV shows like that are NOT real.

Listen to the ORIGINAL radio audio for - H.G.Wells - The War Of The Worlds.
The reason he did it, was to show the populace that everything the media told them was not always TRUE. The amount of suicide reports during said radio broadcast just confirmed the fact people were gullible.
I.e: White Lighters...are...not...real. Nor is Stargate. Neither is Buffy.

I know you said no Charmed... but I think the term was created specifically for the show. They're the same as angels though.

No Charmed, Dearheart. I've seen magic used in both "good" and "bad" ways. I prefer using it myself for helpful purposes. My cousin and I safeguard our city against hard weather when necessary. I've seen magic used for ill and the results can be rather nasty for the user. I much prefer the motto of "Magic is as Magic does." Sort of like whatever you plan on using it for is what it takes the form of. Hope this helps.

It's a term and mythological thing the Charmed show made up.

If you mean an angel ask about an angel.
