The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, the tank must be removed to service the pump.

It is located in the fuel tank and is only accessible from the top of the tank so the fuel tank has to be removed to replace the pump.

Knowing GM and how they love to rip off in the part/service area, I would guess in the tank like my Blazer.

If you are doing it yourself just get a Haynes repair manual at any auto parts store. It will save you many hrs and headaches.
