Wind turns the propellers, which is connected to a turbine engine that converts the wind energy to electrical energy. I believe it is stored by batteries sometimes, or more commonly it is tied into the power system that it is associated with. Typically seen on farms because of their proximity to traditional power sources. Wind mills make it convenient because in the plains, there is an abundant source of wind.

a passing by wind rotates the rotating shaft of the wind mill which
rotates a rectangular conductor inside a magnetic field there by
creating an induced current which causes electricity

ur question does not temme whether u wanted to know the working of wind mill scientifically if u did u can go to this site "http://www.wvic.com/how-gen-works.htm" otherwise whatever i told u abt windmill just now wud definitely suffice
or if the site i told u isnt helpfull enough ma id is sanjayshah_cs@yahoo.co.in
