Beauty tip.........
Dust blusher over your eyelids as an instant subtle eye shadow. It is quick to apply, and will give a balanced look to your make-up.
Use eyeliner to create ILLUSION
A few simple techniques using eye shadow or eyeliner can dramatically affect the look and shape of your eyes. An eye pencil can be used instead of eyeliner for the same effect.
How to make your eyes look BIGGER?
Remember, light tones protrude, so you want to bring light to your eyes. Stroke a neutral shadow in a light shade in the crease of your lid above your iris. If you want color, stroke the neutral on first-bone, vanilla, taupe-and then layer the color on top. It lights up the eye as if there were a lightbulb behind the lid. Or stroke a light color on the lids, with a darker color in the crease and along the upper and lower lash lines. Or use eyeliner to follow the natural shape of the eye
and draw a fine line at the base of the upper and lower lashes to give your eyes more definition.
How to make your eyes look MORE OVAL?
Draw a fine line at the base of the lashes. Thicken it slightly in the middle of the lid, and draw it toward the outer corner to make your eyes appear more oval.
How to make your eyes look ROUNDER?
Put eye shadow all around the edges of the upper and lower lids to make your eyes look rounder. Or use eyeliner to outline the eyes at the base of the lashes. As you move toward the outer corner, thicken and "wing" the line upward ever so slightly.
How to make your eyes look CLOSER TOGETHER?
Stroke a light or medium neutral shade of eye shadow on the inner corner of your eyelids. Or use eyeliner to draw the line a bit thicker
on the inner corner of the eye and stop the line where the outer corner of the eye stops.
How to make your eyes look FURTHER APART?
Take a matte shadow in a darker shade and stroke it outward and slightly upward, on the outer corners of the top and bottom lids. Or use eyeliner and start the line just a bit away from the inner corner of your eye. Make it slightly thicker toward the outer edge and extend it in a slightly upward curve.
Eye shadow, eye liner, pencils, paints and powders highlight your eye and give you a more dramatic look
Eyeshadows are certainly eye catching. It is fun to experiment with eye shadows, eye liners, pencils, paints, and powders but most women just want to know what is right for them. Too much added color distracts from your eyes, even if it matches your eye color. Choosing your eye shadows to match your lifestyle is a smart idea. There are so many makeup tips and warnings as to how to use your eye shadows.
Be careful with your colors, although you may think blue eye shadow will bring out the blue in your eyes, many shades of blue will actually have the opposite effect. Using eye liner and eye pencils can highlight the sparkle in your eyes. Neutral eye shadows are the best and by neutral I mean soft colors found in skin, browns, vanillas, mauves, beiges or in the subtle undertones of the skin, golds, olives, pale purples, blues, and grays. Neutral eye shadows are easy to work with because they meld well with one another and naturally compliment your skin tone.
A few simple techniques using paints, powders, or an eye pencil can affect the look and shape of your eyes. To make your eyes look closer together apply a light or medium neutral shade of eye shadow on the inner corner of your eyelids. Use eyeliner to draw the line a bit thicker on the inner corner of the eye and stop the line where the outer corner of the eye stops. Applying eye shadows to make your eyes look farther apart is a bit tricker. Tip application begins with a matte shadow in a darker shade stroking it outward and upward on the outer corners of the top and bottom lids. Make it slightly thicker toward the outer edge and extend it in a slightly upward curve.
Eye shadows come in creams, powders, and pencils. Creams are the hardest to control, they can look beautiful but tend to slip into the creases on your lids. Powder is great because you can use it either wet or dry and often make the eyes look softer, more natural. Take care of your beautiful eyes, try out different shades of eye shadows and practice some of the techniques.
An eye-opening look at mascara, eye makeup, liners, curlers and application tips for highlighting your beautiful eyes
Mascara opens up your eyes and lets the world see in. The eyes have it and mascara is the perfect solution after adding eye makeup, to bringing out the inner sparkle of your eyes. There are two basic types of mascara, waterproof and regular and unless you cry a lot or are in the water constantly try to stick with the normal mascara because water proof mascaras can be difficult to remove.
Most women wear black mascara because it looks sophisticated and works well on almost anyone. For a more natural eye makeup look the best shade is brown. If any mascara is too dark for your lashes, try clear mascara for a subtly enhanced look. Bringing out the best features in your eyes requires the application of eye liners, mascaras & lash curlers.
For the best mascara application always apply mascara in a stationary position. Never apply make up on a bus or in a car because if you poke yourself you can scratch your cornea. Mascara is easily contaminated by bacteria which you definately don't want in your eyes. Discard mascara after four months use or when it begins to get dried out or clumpy.
If you want to give your eyes a more open, wide-awake look, you may want to curl your eyelashes with a eyelash curler. Curl your lashes before you apply your mascara and avoid curling your lower lashes because they are more vulnerable. Mascara is a key step in a perfect makeover and allows your eyes to make a bigger impact on your overall look. It is smart to stick to your favourite mascara but you might be missing out on a wonderful new product if you don't try experimenting from time to time.

Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow.
Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin.
Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring. Or try a colored mascara such as navy or plum for fun, but don't go too bright if you want to be taken seriously.

It all depends on what kind of eye makeup it is. If its glitter/gel type eye makeup then using your index finger is best than an eye makeup brush. If it isnt glitter/gel its best to use the eye brush all you have to do is start at the corner of your eye and move along slowly until you get the hang it. I hope that helps you out

First apply a base color over the whole eye lid. Then a main colour for the lower lid. Line the eye with an eyeliner and finish it off with a coat of mascara. As simple as that. It ain't rocket science.

Start with a light beige-ish base color and apply over your whole lid to the brow bone. Then take another slightly darker color and put it on the lids only. Then take the color you really want to pop and apply it to the crease in your eyelid, blending it well into the lid color. If you want to be dramatic, take a color much darker than the others and apply at the outer edge of your eyes, and blend it. Follow with a liner on both lids and some mascara.

Very carefully. I had a friend put on mascara and her 3 year old jumped on her at the same time. She pushed the wand accidentally in her eye and had to have surgery. She is now blind in that eye. Her son feels awful. He is now 25. She never blamed him, but he remembers. so, if you have kids...lock the door before putting on eye makeup and be careful.

ok....
this is how I apply mascara....
I very lightly put it on the tips of the top eyelashes. Then I get a small tooth comb (An I'm talking about them very very smaly combs) and lightly comb through the eyelashes to evenly pull them apart so they wont look all chunky and stuck together.
For eyeshadow...I finger paint. I get so M.A.C. and I lightly put it on my eyes. Easier....and quicker. I do this before putting on the mascara

With a brush or a soft stick. If it is liquid, it has its own applicator.
