From my personal experience of reading Archie Comics, the most average age is 16. All the Wikipedia character pages range from 16-17. So yeah, I guess 16 to 17ish. They do seem to occasionally celebrate birthdays, then morph back to their old age, so 17 is probably it then. I may be confusing myself now.

Considering Archie has been around since the early 1940's, he (and his gang) should be past retirement age. But it's a comic, and, judging by the timeline within the Marvel Universe, where only ten years seem to have passed since Spidey and the Fantastic Four started out, I should think Archie and his gang may well be immortal.
