What is beauty and what is ugliness? What do you think a person must have in order to be beautiful or ugly?

The standard we have to see if we want to judge what is beautiful or ugly is not defined properly. Or it is well defined.

For me person is beautiful if he has beautiful mind...looks are immaterial for me...if person is really good at heart, if he /she is really transperant about everything...good, caring and loving, then though the person is physically ugly i would catogorize him in beautiful person..

on the other hand if the person has got lot of ego, no respect for others, hurting behaviour, that person i would catogorise as ugly person...

there is no standard catogorization for the same...it depends upon you who decides. some people may like person who is physically beautiful..but that would be for short time....for long run mental beauty would play important role..

I think that beauty is something that defines your self. Beauty is when u have ur hair done, and look nice for the day. Beauty to me is all kinds of thing for instance, like ur hair is beautiful, ur pants and shoes are beautiful, and ur smile is beautiful. It doesn't matter how u look it matters how u make ur self look and put ur self out there. Know the big one, ugly, i think that ugly is when u are not talking care of ur self not when somebody is callin u ugly. I truly think that ugliness is when u don't take care of ur self.

Beauty is different things to different people: surface beauty maybe nice on the eyes but internally a person can be very ugly. Beauty to me is a person who is sincere, fun, happy go lucky, adventurous, spontanious & not afraid to invest time in a relationship

Well, the beauty of a person is measured by their personality. But dermatologically speaking, it doen's matter if the person has ugly facial features. Dermatologists measure beauty by the alignment of your facial features. For example, your ears should not rise over the end of your eyebrow or the width of your mouth should have the same distance with your pupils.

beautiful and ugly are just the words we use to describe the people who we want to judge. it depends on ones taste what's beauty for one person might me ugly for the other. it really depends.
