Actually, they spell it mulatto and i believe that was a child mixed of black and hispanic of some sort.. it's only bad if it offends them or someone listening- which is very common, so be careful. it depends on the context you say it in

It was borderline offensive in the 1950s, and as a term just became more and more offensive since. It has fallen out of use for the most part.

It's only bad if the parents don't love and take care of the child. It's cool if they are loving and and take care of their kid.

I'm with Navy on this. My son is racially mixed (multiple races). He's just my son and his dad's son. No one says "he's x and y and a little of z"

yeah that's what they called the children that were born because slave masters were raping the slaves. i know its in our culture still but it can offend people
