What is the biggest file size that I can send as an email attatchment to my friend that has Google Gmail that he can recieve with no problem? ...Gmail users?

No, it isn't 20mb. It is 10 megabytes (see source).

However, your outgoing server might not allow 10mb; maybe it only takes 5.5mb (like my old one).

Your best bet for anything about or over 10mb is yousendit (http://www.yousendit.com). It can send files up to 100mb for free. Rather than attaching it directly to the email, it gives the recepient a link to download. It is fast and easy.

I've never had any problems with attachments in Gmail myself and have found it more reliable than hotmail or Yahoo mail.

i guess it is 10mb, but i recommend you to use yahoo mail. because attachments don't add easily on gmail and you to try several times.
