Sorry, what I meant by the Locket being destroyed was that it was sold and aberforth bought it and gave it to Dumbledore to destroy.

I also want to say that yes there are SIX Horcruxes, and sorry, whoever says SEVEN won't be chosen as the best answer.

Please don't say that Harry is a Horcrux because J.K. Rowling personally said that he wasn't.

If you want me to email you telling you what I mean exactly by Dumbledore having destroyed the locket already, please let me know by leaving your email address at the end of your answer.

Someone once suggested that the Sorting Hat was a Horcrux, but I think JKR might have shot that one down. I don't remember off the top of my head.

I disagree with Zacharias Smith having Hufflepuff's Cup. For one thing, we know that Voldemort had it at one point. Which means that it's in hiding somewhere, probably protected in a similar way that the locket was protected.

I also disagree with your assessment of the locket already being destroyed. If Dumbledore already had the locket and had destroyed it, why then would he have led Harry to the cave to retrieve it? It makes no sense at all.

Finally, I disagree with your thought that the Mirror of Erised is somehow relavent to Ravenclaw, or that they would even consider keeping it in the Ravenclaw Common Room. Dumbledore warned Harry that it was a powerful magical artifact, and it isn't something that they'd leave where anyone could find it (despite being stored in an empty classroom for a brief period of time--that seemed more like a plot device than anything else). I'm certain there's something else out there that belonged to Ravenclaw at one point in time, though it seems more likely that Voldemort may have used something of Gryffindor's instead.

I do agree with the Harry not being a Horcrux, though. I can't help but think that there would be slightly more ceremony involved in creating a Horcrux than just walking up to someone and killing them. And if Harry WAS a Horcrux, why would Voldemort be so intent on killing him? It makes zero sense.

The Horcruxes

1. DIARY - destroyed
2. RING - destroyed
3. Slytherin's LOCKET - unknown where & IF destroyed yet (but I have a theory check it out on My Theories page)
4. Hufflepuff's CUP - unknown whereabouts
5. Nagini - wherever Voldie stashed her
6. Something of Ravenclaw's OR Gryffindor's - unknown What & Where

Rules of a Horcrux

1.Object must be collectible, as a trophy and chosen with some care
2. Object must have a powerful Magical history
3. Objects that, in themselves, have a certain grandeur

First thing, there are seven Horcruxes:

1. Diary - Gone
2. Ring- Dumbledore Destroyed It
3. Locket- Mundungus must've traded it
4. Nagini- WIth Voldemort
5. Something from Hufflepuff - dunno
6. Something from Ravenclaw - dunno but its not the mirror of erised
7. Something from Gryffindor... how about Harry Potter himself??

That's just me and my ideas.. we'll have to wait till the next summer to be sure.
