I love Halloween. Last year was my last year to trick or tweet cause I was 12, but I love going to parties, but the kiddies will love dressing up as ghosts and witches and getting candy it's a lot of fun.

Halloween was always my favorite holiday when I was growing up...it was a chance to escape reality and be something different than what I was. Also, perfect strangers gave me candy and it didn't count as charity.
Even now, I like to dress up for Halloween...I mentioned to Angel the other day how I like to dress as a 6'1" tall, 250 pound Ninja!
If it does get up and running, make sure the kids have an adult go with them and also check the candy before they eat it. As disturbing as it sounds, there are some sickos out there who tamper with the candy to try and injure the children. I would hope that this particular atrocity would remain inside our borders, but it's always best to be vigilant where children are concerned.

It was fun when I was little (I won't say how many decades ago that was).
You got to dress-up in cool costumes and be anything you wanted to be: princess, cowboy, gangster, cheerleader, monster.
We carved pumpkins, made pumpkin pie and baked apples and had costume parties with friends. Of course, there is the candy.
Now it seems to have gone down hill. Parties are still fun but kids can't be out unsupervised so that puts a damper on it and you have to be careful where you go begging for candy.

It used to be. Now more and more people are either refusing to participate or handing out religious candies or brochures along with the candy. Most schools can't have any kind of celebration because some jackass parent sued because it doesn't fit their religion. Now they will allow you to wear a costume to school, they used to have a parade, but you can't wear anything violent , or scary or reflecting another race. Fun, huh.

it is the very best, you dress up in wild costumes, have or go to big parties, plan and play pranks on your friends the more outrageous the better, kids haven't done "trick or treat" for candy for about 10 years, parents or schools host parties now a days for the children, well I live in an urban city, maybe they still do it in small towns or rural areas

Sure, dress-up and candy, what could be better!
It's especially fun if someone in the neighborhood really works on their house to make it like a scary mansion or something. or they can dress like a scarecrow holding the pot of candy on the porch and when the kids reach in, he can grab their hand or soemthign and freak them out. My uncle used to make a ghost out of a sheet and glowing paint on the roof and shine a black light on it.
You can have all kinds of fun.

it is fun for all ages
kids go to family and the neighbors all dressed up and get candy
adults go to private parties and have fun in a lot other ways ..
but when the kids go from house to house it gets dangerous because freaks put poison and ground up glass and razor blades in the fruit and candy they hand out, so a lot of people now only go to people they know or private parties so the children do not get hurt or poisoned..sad but true...
and when it is fun, it is a lot of fun
good luck
smile
have fun...

here's the thing. it's been made into a holiday for kids to go out and get candy...to dress up. and they think that's all it is...so i guess that's cute. although the backround of halloween indicates that it is a pagan ritual...or satan's holiday....where a lot of people decide to offer sacrifices and do that stuff...so i don't celebrate it.

absolutely! what other night can they dress up in costume and go from door to door extorting candy from people! and at the end of the day gorge themselves for a week on their booty!!
just gotta watch out for nutcases and sickos though. good rule of thumb is to never accept home-made/hand-wrapped stuff, unless it's from someone you know really well and trust.
