Everyone is afraid to be vulnerable. Everyone is waiting for someone else to say or do the first move. Try being that someone in a sense of smiling because your world is right and good. Then you will find the right words and ways to say hello and mean good in the contact. Its easy...practice it and make it perfect.

I tend to sit back and watch them after they are introduced to me, or talk to them about safe issues such as work family their interest.
But I would rather sit back and observe mainly

well...talk to them. find a topic. it could be very simple like their interests. take hints from what they say...catch up on those things and start talking.
