House of 1000 Corpses by Rob Zombie. It's not only CRAZY and disgusting, but completely unexpected and totally gruesome. The Firefly family (as cool as they are) scares the hell out of me.

I've been watching scary movies since I was 8 years old (my first horror video was X-tro and my first movie theatre horror flick was Fright Night) so very little phases me any more. But there have been a couple of gems over the years...

The Prince of Darkness. I saw this when I was 14 and it scared the living HELL out of me. I still cannot explain why, but that damn movie gave me nightmares for months afterward (I think it was Alice Cooper, honestly). I have trouble watching it to this day.

The Ring. I saw this movie 12 years later, just when I'd given up all hope of ever being scared by a movie again. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was very pregnant - and therefore hormonally imbalanced, LMAO, but jeepers-creepers this movie freaked me out. I was fine for the first few days after I saw it...and then my husband went on the night shift. When I went to bed that night I started thinking about that freaky dead chick and I kept thinking, "What if she's right outside my bedroom door?" Eventually the thought was so powerful I had to go and check. I was still wide awake around 2 in the morning when I got up and unplugged the TVs. At 3AM I woke the dog up and made her come and sleep in my bed with me. The sound of her snoring was very comforting and I was finally able to get some sleep! The Ring Two, however, was a travesty.

So what movie scares you?

Only 2 movies so far have creeped me out tremendously: The Ring (American film) and The Eye (Japanese movie).

I'm sure most of you have seen The Ring and at the time I saw it, I was vacationing in the US and was sleeping at my grandparents place. I totally forgot that I was set up in the loft sofa bed right in front of the freaking TV!!!! Of course, I wasn't able to sleep that night. It took me months to really be rid of the paranoia and only when people started making jokes about that creepy long haired pasty faced girl.

The EYE is just great. Look for the film and watch it. It's got english subtitles so you'll understand. Trust me, you will never ride an elevator alone AGAIN.

The only movie that ever gave me nightmares (and I LOVE horror movies) was Pet Cemetery. I watched that for the 1st time when I was 13. I was staying the night at my cool Aunt's house and that night my feet were all the way up to my butt because I was convinced that boy was coming with a scalpel to cut off my heels, lol. It's funny to think back on that.

Watched Hellraiser 1 and 2 together one night had nightmares for a week. Don't know why because the dreams were not even related to the movie.

Wrong Turn-just disgusting

The original Exorcist. I was mortified at some of those scenes. I would have been afraid of being struck down by the good Lord....even if it were just acting.

I thought the Hellraiser movies were awesome, too!

The original "Exorsist" but I was a kid when it came out, it scared the heck out of me.

I watch it now and think "What's so scary?"

The grudge wasn't scary, creepy, but not scary. Same with a lot of movies in that genre.
