It's a member of the squash family. It's easy to grow both in ground and in containers. It tastes great stir fried, battered and fried and served with lemon, tossed into pasta prima vera and various Asian dishes.

Why? It's great raw in salads too...you should try it.

wonderful vegetable. Also makes a great bread and a great cookie. Yes a cookie. Somebody at work made of a cookie dough and grated zucchini in it. Tasted great. Guess that would be one way to get your kids to eat their veggies.

Its just hanging out being a vegetable. It has many uses from fried in corn meal to being used in cakes for moisture and vitiamin content.
If you have a bumper crop its always fun to leave it with neighbors and let them figure out what to do with it too!

It is a vegetable which seems to produce abundantly. It can be eaten in a variety of ways. It is better if it is picked before it becomes too large and seedy.

It's very good when it's battered and fried. When they are still small like cucumber size. When they get big they get a woody taste to them. Not that kind of woody....:)
