All plants and animals have a purpose. What is the purpose of human life. We are part of nature, but unlike anything else we destroy more than we create.

How do you know that any living thing has a purpose? What is my dog's purpose, for example?

If you say "it's to make you happy," then you've decided that purpose for the dog. It didn't come from anywhere else, just you.

Therefore, YOU decide what the purpose of human life is. Maybe you've decided it's to destroy other forms of life. Or have you decided that all purposes must be "good?" Then maybe after a while, you'll decide that human life has some other purpose. You may just need to observe for a while.

My personal opinion is that the concept of "purpose" (as opposed to "meaning," which is completely different) implies that some superior entity is "using" that which has a purpose to achieve some end. Because I don't know whether God exists (or if God does exist, whether he has a purpose for human life), my answer is "I don't know but I suspect there isn't one."

Human beings may choose a purpose, but plants and animals
don't have that capacity. If the human race has a purpose,I think
it can only be to seek knowledge and improve.Maybe in time we
won't be so destructive.

To Live and let live ! is the only righteous answer to this fundamental question about life. Life consists of not only the things which comes to our senses and mind but eternally lot more to it .it consists of everything happened in the past and contains the seeds to the future too so it is righteous to think to change it the way we want it in future . To live peacefully and let others live peacfully is inherent quality of life , otherwise what we are doing it for ? whatever we do ,we do it for others and that way we are connected universally. and it effects very minutely to every other but casts tremedously.
Be cheerfull to be cheerfull in return. life itself is a miracle unsloved . to live wholly is to dont seek solutions. watch life silently and it pours in silently the life of universe. Coz its not your or mine life Its Universal truth which prevails.
Luv all.

There is none. There is a hard wired propensity in human consciousness to seek a purpose where none exists.
