Yes.Pen drives can be used as ram memory or as local drives(like HDD).
But maybe you should change your mother board to one that supports DDRam.Those are the best and also cheap.
Good luck

In Windows Vista there will be a feature that enables you to use a flash drive for caching.

If you are using older RD-ram, send me an emial. I have 2x128 MB module which might still be in a working condition. you can have them if you are willing to pay for the shipping from south africa to where ever you are. The are still installed into a my i850 chipset motherboard which packed up. No one sells RD ram or motherboards in South Africa anymore so i don't know if the ram still works

If you want to pay for the shipping, it's yours. I don't have the time to sell it on ebay or wherever.

NO, absouloutely not, although storage devices such as hard drives and flash disks may be used as 'cache' or as virtual memory they are both designed to do different things. RAM is what your computer uses to hold the temporary answers to questions the processor is asked, Flash/Hard drives are designed as storage space - for files to be (semi) permanently saved

No. Pen drives (also known as thumb drives or flash drives) cannot be used as additional RAM. The fact that they are called "drives" should tell you something.

You wouldn't want to, anyhow. They are far too slow to be a viable supplement to RAM.
