Like does that mean they could know things like passwords, or your last name and stuff you entered for things? That's really scary, if it's real, how do I protect myself from it?

Yes it is true - if you bank online then its a good idea to have your password in a word document. When you need the password, copy it and paste it in the password area. This way they can only see you copy and paste not your password.
