For those who say that rap sucks - That doesn't answer the question. You should have moved onto a different question. Eminem is the most skilled rap lyricist ever. The structure of his rhymes and verses borders on poetic and his rap vocabulary is immense. I have heard him freestyle rap just by using random words shouted to him.
He is the only rapper who has me looking forward to hearing what he has to say on every track he is on.
His language is extreme but he is the best thing to happen to rap as a skill ... PERIOD!

Somewhere between average and phenomenal. He's got the audience and record sales of a real star. But many people think he got hyped as a white rapper. Remember Vanilla Ice? Now that guy was a bad rapper but sold a lot of records before people figured it out. eminem is a good rapper with a lot of hype and marketing behind him. So he has been able to last and continue to perform and make records where others have failed.

He is a phenomenal artist. He isn't afraid to speak what's on his mind. And I respect him for that.

He has some awesome stuff but he has some

I agree that he is over rated even though I have all of his albums and actually like him so I say this from experience!
If it wasn't for Dr.Dre he wouldn't be what he is today and he konws that for a fact, it's in his lyrics

em is the only rapper i can stand cos it seems to me hes the only one with any talent and the only one you can understand what the f/uck hes saying.......like all artists his albums have had their ups and downs but overall hes pretty damn good and twice as creative as most

I think he is a man trying to provide for his daughter. I can't hate him for that.. At least he is there for his daugter... Don't get me wrong his is no Tupac... =)
