I was told eating peppermints works, drinking milk, or drinking 7up or Sprite? I haven't tried any of these but do they work? Also, anybody have any other ideas that help relieve upset stomach?

Mints work! Trust me. Do not drink milk, it is too thick and may curdle on your stomach. Milk is better if you are having heartburn. In addition to mints, nibble on saltines.

Definately not 7up or sprite as these contain sugar and food acids both of which might make it worse, no cabbage either. Drink milk alkalises an acid stomach so should be ok. No fruit juices.

peppermint mints or tea only work for mild upset stomach, milk might make you feel better for a little while but then starts to curdle and sour, then you feel worse, 7up & sprite work sometimes like that coke syrup stuff called emitrol only for mild upset, what works for me is apple cider vinegar, my friends mom drinks it with warm water, but I can't, I slice up cucumbers and sweet onions with apple cider vinegar and sugar, that works pretty good, DO NOT use white vinegar it will be like you drank gasoline, another thing that works is slice up fresh ginger root and fresh lemons, put in pot with water, boil till the water smells good, about 15 minutes, strain and add honey or sugar, this ginger tea also makes me feel good, great remedy for the grumpys

Well, what I do is fill a cup full of milk (out of the fridge) and add 2 spoons of milk of magnesia. Then I warm this up in the microwave for like 30 seconds, and mix it with a spoon. Drink it, and you'll be all good within a little while!
Good Luck!

If you must drink anything you need to drink water, 7 up, sprite or ginger ale.

If you eat anything eat saltine crackers until you feel better.

Another rememdy we use is a table spoon of all purpose flour in 1/2 cup of water.

Milk coats the stomach lining. Not sure what peppermint is supposed to do. Any soda without caffeine seems to help. Ginger ale is good too.

I tend to go with milk or ginger ale myself.

sprite works for me...it can be diet sprite... and sometimes dry toast. Oh and sometimes I put a cool cloth on the back of my neck and this does something to reduce nausea. Popsicles (ice blocks) are good when you feel sick. Milk makes me feel worse when I have an upset stomach. Oh and one teaspoon of bicarb of soda (baking soda) in a glass of water can help if your stomach is acidic.

Ginger tea. Stash makes a really good lemon ginger tea. Also Menudo. You can buy it canned in most grocery stores. Make sure you add a tbsp of chili power while heating it, add salt, fresh onions and dash of oregano right before eating...perfect for tummy aches caused by hangovers
