It really depends on the type of gig.

Small time philharmonic? Next to nothing. You'd still need a day job to pay your rent.

Major Symphony orchestra? Up to 6 figures.

Accomplished Virtuoso musician? There's virtually no limit. It depends on how many gigs you can book.

Also, musicians who play in the movie studio orchestras make a ******* fortune. Hard job to get, though, you gotta be able to sight read just about anything and play it perfectly with very little rehearsal.
