I was married in Clark county back in 2001. I thought it was called Cupid's Little Wedding Chapel, but the only one I see is Cupid's Chapel. Anyway, I am now divorced. Recently I became engaged to a filipina who wishes to be married in a Catholic church. In order to marry in a Catholic Church, my first marriage may need to be annulled. Our marriages performed in Las Vegas considered civil weddings because they are not performed in the church? Because the time involved in getting my annulment changes depending on what kind of ceremony it was and if its recognized by the church. I hope this makes sense. Anyway, I need to know if marriages at Cupids Wedding Chapels are considered civil because they are not performed in a church. Im really confused at this point, and any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated by my fiancée and I. Thanks again

I would say it depends on if it was a justice of the peace or clergy that married you

Good Luck and God Bless!!

First of all church or civil marriages are just a contract between a man and women approve by the state. You need to ask the priest in regard to a church annulment. An annulment is nothing more on the civil side as saying the marriage contract was not valid due to issues which differ from state to state. Commen ones are non consumation of the marriage (sex), fraud and mental illness. Again ask the priest as to churchs procedure on church annulment. Good luck

AFAIK marriages can only be annuled if you have very good contacts, loads of money or the marriage was never consumated. Otherwise, no chance.
