They have the right to say what they want. But everyone else has the right to think they are morons and not listen to them anymore. Don't play with fire if you don't want to get burned.

Have you really listened to the words of "Not Ready To Make Nice"? I support Bush and I support our troops, I was not pleased that the Dixie Chicks bashed our President in such an open forum, but it is their right. That's part of what makes this country great FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

As far as the song, listen to the words carefully! Think about the overall meaning! Stand strong behind your beliefs and don't back down!

Are Yankees so insular that they believe everyone has the same world view as them? The UN is the world governing body not the USA Government. You can't invade sovereign countries just because you want their oil.

The song you refer to is Not Ready to Make Nice by The Dixie Chicks. New Zealand does not support the War for Oil either.

America is such a great country that you think Great Britain is in Europe and you are unable to use the provided Spellcheck. Have you also heard of the metric system? Modern countries have implemented it decades ago.

I believe 2500 troops have died in Iraq, not Erak. For what? Now the US does not know how to leave the country. Obviously no-one thought the Ahabs would fight for their country. They were just meant to welcome in the American colonisers.

I am not a Ahab lover but neither am I so right-wing that Hitler looks friendly. Remember My Lai in Vietnam. Go to http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/vietnam/trenches/my_lai.html to find out how American soldiers massacred civilians in the Vietnam War.

Just listening to Dixie Chicks now.

The Dixie Chicks have the right to have their opinion. They must also remember that it is the opinion of the people that keeps money in their pocket. If their opinions are voiced and differ greatly from their audience, then their audience will vote with their wallet and not buy their cd's. As for the comment about the UN, the UN is so tied up with it's chatter that had it been around during the begining of WWII Hitler would still be in power.

I think that they have the right to express their political opinion. Maybe their fans consisted of mostly conservatives that strongly supported the President, and they had no idea. Remember there were many groups and singers that were very politically expressive during the 60's and 70's without the kind of harsh rejection experienced by the Dixie Chicks for expressing their views. We should let them have their say just like anyone else without harsh undue criticism.

If they had said the same about Clinton would you be so up in arms about it? If you would'nt have cared than why should anyone care if they bad mouth this president, you folks seem to constantly forget this, this is AMERICA, and like it or not they are American, they are just practicing their American right to say what ever the heck they want, maybe if folks like you don't like freedom of speech maybe you should move to China or Saudi Arabia those countries would probably fit you folk a whole lot better.

Are you against the first ammendment? You sound like a communist. Are you? The USSR leaders tried to suppress all forms of expression that did not conform with their beliefs. You seem to share that same school of thought. Should I call you comrade? Or, are you just another gay pinko terrorist disguised as an ultra conservative John Birch supporter?

Considering that Bush's approval was recently in the 30's obviously people agree with them to some extent. They just spoke too soon for the rest of america to handle it.

Yet again, how is it hating america to exercise your 1st amendment rights? Is loving america telling people NOT to exercise 1st amendment?

They suck anyway, but they should still shut up with the politics. No one cares what they think. The only reason they're doing it is for attention. And it's working, because this distracts from the fact that they have no talent.
