Start > Run > type 'msconfig' without quotes > choose the > startup (last option) and diselect the auto startup lines and apply the changes.

This will definitely solve / or / go to the respective program select options/preferences/ or something just disable the auto startup options.

an option of last resort...
this is scary and dangerous for someone that is unfamiliar with how to do it and the results can be disasterous if it isn't done right .. but they can all be removed from start-up by using something called regedit .. it is the registry keys section of your computer that controls everything that happens with every operation.
find it by hitting the start button... then 'run' then type 'regedit'
this is also where to go if you have any type of spyware or other junk on your computer to have it taken off of your system.. a good reason for slow performance if taking things off your start up is still a problem.
again.. don't play with it unless you read up on what to play with

Open preferences or options window of these messengers and from there uncheck the option of automatic startup.

Some may advice you to remove them from msconfig.exe. but it wont work as the messengers always start when windows starts until they are removed manually from the preferences.
