Yes, I wouldn't let those bloody terrorists come bomb me again. Bunch of idiots those terrorists are, stupid terrorists, mess with our government, our lives, our everything, if it weren't for them, I be in peace, not fearing another bombing or something of that sort.
man, if we didn't retaliate, the terrorists would think that we are weak, oh yes, and pardon my ignorance, but what did we do to the terrorists that caused them to bomb us?
oh yeah, why is it that when the massacred us, and when our soldiers only abused them, we are charged with being inhumane? why that's double standard the beastly creatures. we should have nuked their @sses off

Of course not. A change in foreign policy LONG AGO, would have kept those 3000 hearts lost in 9/11 still beating. The majority of the terrorists active in the 9/11 travesty were ARABS. Why start a fight two houses over???? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11! If Bush had such a hard-on to depose Sadam Hussein, why didn't he just DO it and pull out?
Use some common sense when analyzing the situation. America is addicted to oil. Dick Cheney dictates the energy policy of this country and he does so with first thought to his petroleum interests. If a destablized ruler controls the lion's share of the oil, then we have to deal with him. Answer: Invade Iraq and install a democratic government; one easier to control and deal with. (any questions: see KUWAIT.) That way, we can keep feeding our addiction at the cheapest rate possible. Cheney can also pave the way for his old company, Haliburton, to pick up most of the lucrative contracts during, as well as after, the war.
I'm not as into conspiracy theories as others might have you believe, but hell, when it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck...it's NOT a phucking PENGUIN!!! As a rule for figuring out political motives, FOLLOW THE MONEY!!

All those 9/11 Skyjackers but one came from Saudi Arabia. Some of the Saudi royal family financed El Quaida. Bush uses 9/11 as an excuse to attack Iraq, not even an Islamist country but a failing Stalinist state, in order to steal its oil.
So when the dirty bombs go off in the US or botulinis toxin kills 100,000 people it will likely be vengeance for the innocents murdered in Iraq because of the war criminal Bush.

Yes, I believe that stopping Saddam was essential in the war on terror. Some people think that the war was declared just on the Taliban and the ones who flew the planes into the World Trade Center. That is just not true. War was declared against terrorists. Iraq was a good place to start. His regime was terrible. He murdered people for disagreeing with him. He was a tyrant. Sooner or later we would have had to go to war with him. Bush chose sooner. I hope we finish the war and do not pull out too soon, because if we do that we will be fighting the war on terror for generations to come.

I don't believe that we declared war - war was declared upon us. If you come to my house, sneak in the back yard, and kill my child I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU, and probably all those who harbor you.
This situation is much more complicated than just a few simple questions and answers.
-The US is a powerful and prosperous country. Many other countries hate us for this. Like "new money" we have no manners.
- During the 1980's the US supported the Taliban to usurp the Russians from Afghanistan. The US covertly funded and trained many of the Al Quaeda leaders. Boy did we pick the wrong dog in that fight!
- There are HUNDREDS of factions in the Middle East, each with an agenda. Try to pick the faction that then matches the US agenda and "back" them. Not an easy task.
- Is Iraq about money? Can you name a conflict down from the beginning of time NOT about money/power.
- We need cheap oil to grease our economy. Sit and think a minute about all the things you consume that are shipped to your local Wal-Mart Supercenter where you buy them. How about bananas at $5.00/lb?? Or beef at $20.00/lb? I bet some of you who are yelling UNFAIR would be yelling DO SOMETHING!
Sit in the seat of the president of the United States for one day and tell me you think it is as simple as YES / NO.

I think to declare war on Saudi Arabia, where most of the terrorists were from and trained, would be appropriate. To attack Afghanistan even would make sense considering there were proven Taliban cells there. However, declaring war on Iraq, in my opinon, was pointless and the wrong decision considering there was no connection between Iraq and 9/11.

rock on there smashingly, everyone seemed to be peed off on 9/11 but now we are a little more sympathetic, so the next time they do this crap, is it gonna be ok then. should we not retalliate then. hell why dont we just let them have the usa, lets see how sympathetic or liberal all of you would be when your government tells you when you can go to the bathroom or not. i served in the military, and it just sickens me to read all of this ungrateful bs. as i said before only in this country do we abuse the priveledges that are provided to us.

Yes. My understanding is the lives lost & those crippled, maimed, scarred for life were from all walks of life, from many countries and in lawful pusuit of their daily lives. Left behind was anguish, despair, grief and a terrible sense of loss in those people who that awful day had their lives and futures destroyed.
Without impediment the US President activated every possible means of help to all afflicted and declared war against all later identified perpertrators. Let it also be rememberd the USA is one of the few countries that aspires to protecting its nationals & no quarter in the world escapes its attention whenever it nationals are endagered. While many other nations procrastinate, meet argue and debate the cause & actions to follow. The USA acts swiftly and decisively without limitation.

Sorry but your question has no answer. According to the constitution the President cannot declare war. Congress declares war so if you wanna blame someone blame 518 of the 519 congressmen present on that vote. It is similar to the vote on going to war after Pearl Harbor only one voted against.

No, 911 can be avoided by the right deplomatic policy and the right operation of the secure check at the air port. so the 911 is a nightmare for Us, but also result from US' faults...It can come to the BASE org., but not that country...then Iraq...Ridiculous, and lose the justice in the world...Making the US people more unsafe now the worldwide....

Absolutely NO. Neither President Aznar, from Spain and those who supported him. I'm so glad the first thing our new spanish President (Zapatero) did, was to take back all the troops to Spain. We need PEACE in our world. There is absolutely NO REASON for a war in this Millenium.
Peaceful greetings!
P.S. It was so difficult to find the Terrorists one by one and take them to a jail. It was so easy to kill half a land! Who gives P. Bush that right? God? Or Ignorance?
