Are you a good friend. If yes then why do you think so and what are your qualities?

I just want to know this thing because I feel to be a good friend but I can't make it because I think that people think that I'm a boring person but how can I change this thought from their mind. What changes should I make in myself. How to be a good friend with boys and girls? Thanks in advance

I dont know if i am a good frnd or not.But one of my frnds has all the qualities of a good frnd.
1.He is a good listener.
2.I can talk to him without feeling what he will say.
3.He never takes it personally to any criticism.
4.Has time for me.
5.Appreciates,criticizes,is optimistic.
6.Shares with me the books,movies,likes and dislikes.
7.The frndship is purely platonic,he knows where to draw lines when it comes to gender.

Loyalty, listening, advising (without expectation), patience, understanding (as best as you can), being there. You always stand up for your friend - have his or her back. When he/she has a problem, just listen, do not interrupt, do not start talking about yourself, just listen to what has to be let out. If you are listening correctly you will know then what to say. Keep in mind that any advice that you give does not have to be taken (in other words, do not turn around and get pissed off at your friend if they do not listen to what you have to say). Patience - your friend is not always going to act the way you expect or they will always act the way that you expect - be patient with them - you may not be able to change them - just be there for them. Being there - there will be times that you do not need to be talking or doing anything - sometimes just hanging out and being present is good enough. Keep in mind that some friendships are not forever. Some people come into your life for a short time for either you to effect them or for them to effect you. Once their purpose is served the friendship will end. Example: your best friend in grade school may not be your friend when you get older. It is ok. Good luck. Also stop thinking that you are boring, if you are putting negative signals out about yourself, people will sense it. Also if you, aretalking about you being boring stop it. Move on to a subject that does not include any shortcomings you feel you may have.

I think I am a good friend. I love everyone unconditionally, I am a great listener, I am not a gossip (what's said to me stays with me) and I am not judgemental at all. I am the type of person that you can tell absolutely anything to and I will not be shocked, critical, judgemental, etc. I will simply listen and love, doing my best to let the person know that there is nothing they could do or say that would change the way I feel for them. I also would do everything in my power to help someone in need.

Well, I've been a good friend to most of my friends for over 20 years or more to most of the ppl that I know whether they be male or female. I think that in order to be a good friend u have to be a good listener, you have to know when to shut up and let ur friends make there own mistakes, you all have to know when to go your own way even when you disagree, u have to trust each others hearts, minds, bodies, and souls as well as spirits, you have to be there for one another more through that bad times because there will be lots of good times, but it in those moments when everything in ur life in crazy that u realize who ur real friends really are, and most of all I think that u have to be unselfish and make time for one another even if its just once a week, a month, a year or even if its just an email, letter or phone call because that's what be a good friend is all about... And a good friend won't care if u call them at 1, 2 or 5 in the morning as long as u call and its for good reason even if the reason is stupid because they will "Love U" anyways! :)

i believe i am a good friend. a good friend doesn't have to be interesting, a good friend is a person who will always stand beside you and shares everything with you. If the person you are the friend of is not a good friend then you yoyourself won't feel that ur a good friend, it has to be from both sides. I am a good friend to my sons and Theresa. Theresa has never had a boyfriend so I stay clear of the sexual ascepts of romantic love, and focus on clear and honest communication. This doesn't mean I walk on water, but I am getting better at being a true blue friend. With my sons Dan and Dave, I try to cultivate an open and honest atmosphere with them so they are comfortable with me.

Yes I would like to think I'm am a good friend. I know I have a few that i can call really close. You are always there for them, you listen to them, and your always honest no matter what.
