Yellow card signify that the player was aggressive and playing the game with unsporting behavior. It was first introduced by British referee Ken Aston and they were 1st used in a big way in the 1970 World cup in Mexico. A referee uses yellow and red cards to caution players for offenses. If anybody get 2 yellow cards and the player which get 2 yellow cards is aggressive and not following the game spirit, the referee gives the red card-which means the player is not allowed to play the next game. Now enjoy the matches of the World Cup 2006!!

If you get a yellow it carries on to the next game (and the next, etc). If you 'earn' another, you cannot play in the next match.
Red also means you miss the next match (and the time remaining in the match you're playing, obviously).
I hope this helps!

if you get 2 yellow cards in 2 or more matches -- it means you'll miss the next match!
if you get 2 in one match - you're out for that match
