An episode like this one again would be the start to a new revolution in music. I think rockers are too afraid to do this. They tried to kill disco and now history is killing them.

Because people would freak out and call them racists.

All you have to do in the world is call a white person racist and the whole world takes notice...

If a person of color does something to a white person though... they get away with it...

I think you are referring to disco demolition night which was a promotion by the Chicago White Sox. Fans brought disco records to the ball park and they were taken onto the field between games of a double header and destroyed. There was a riot afterward and fans took over the field. The second game had to be forfeited by the White Sox. The reason nobody wants to do this with rap is because nobody wants to forfeit a game afterward. Rockers had nothing to do with it in '79. Most musicians respect other artists and their genres.

It was that Chicago D.J.(moron) Steve Dahl who started that incident. It took place at Comiskey Park, where the White Sox used to play ball. Its now a parking lot, and their new ballpark is across the street at U.S.Cellular Field. I was hoping that someone would throw his stupid *** in the pile of disco records! Like you can't enjoy both genres of music?
