I am thinking about getting my boyfriends name tattooed on me... I heard this is "bad luck" I was just wondering if anyone out there has gotten a tattoo of their partners name and if they are still together today.

I know everyone on here is saying no no no! But I have my b/f name on me, twice. I got the first one 3 years ago, and the second one about a year ago. He also has my name on him 3 times. We are still together and I don't regret getting it done at all. Even if we were to split up, he would still be a part of me. I don't think I would ever cover it up or have it removed.
Just be sure that you really love this guy, and that he loves you!

If someone has got their boyfriend's name tattooed on them and they are still together, it doesn't automatically mean that you and your boyfriend are going to last. I'd wait a long long time before getting this done, a lot of girls in my area went out and get their boyfriend's name tattooed on their arms and now they are split up and they have a constant reminder about how much they hate them. Be careful getting this done. Personally, I wouldn't.

It's probably not a good idea. You don't want to be old and wrinkly and looking at a tattoo of an ex-boyfriend's name. Especially if you're married or something.

Don't do it, the only name I'd ever consider is my kid's name or if it's a memorial for someone. I'm married and still wouldn't do it, tattooing a name doesn't prove your love for them and if you guys do happen to break up at some point do you really want to see his name and do you think future boyfriends or husband would want to see another man's name?

OK, can i come live with you? and you don't want a tattoo a tattoo if for life, it's not something you wake up at 3:00 in the morning and say i want a tat . when your old and gray and you still want a tattoo go for it but remember some people feel that tatttoos are dirty and not for a proper women or girl for that matter. but, i don't have any and feel like they attract less disirable people but hay , i'm just tring to save you $3000.00.

it's a really, really bad idea. unless you only date guys with the same name from then on.
think of it this way. how would you explain to your next boyfriend who's name it was you had tattooed?

NO NO NO NO NO...never get anyone's name tattooed on you (except a child's name, like a son or daughter) because there are no guarantees...even if you marry the person, it could still end.

I too want my boyfriends name tatooed on me but i'm getting it done in Thai writting (If i can find the translation of it). I don't think its bad luck but it is risky. you don't know if this relationship will last forever. BUT a tatoo does, if you fall out, how will you feel about having his name on your skin?
Look at the pros and cons first.

Never, ever tattoo someone's name on yourself. You will most likely live to regret it. Ask Angelina Jolie.

Ultimately its up to you but my advice is DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! If you really think that you will be with him forever, get married or something, but a tattoo will be very expensive to remove if you break up.
