Ok, here is a common misconception. Some people think that if the government allows something to be legal, it must be ok to do.
Yet then you realize your letting your morals be controled by what other people consider punishable.
Yet this is not always the case, and it is still a very controversal subject. The problem is is many women feel they have the right to do what they want with their own bodies, and just see the fetus as two cells, rather than what it will grow into, a human being.
In fact, a fetus is not part of the womans body, as it is independent with it's own dna, from both the father and the mother, but the problem is is how do we settle this? I def believe abortion should be illegal, because we need to stand up for the voiceless, and who is more voiceless than an unborn baby?

Abortion is legal because an unethical judge, influenced by an activist group, ruled it to be legal. When this was done, we did not know all we do about the science of human anatomy.
We did not know that the fetus is alive at the time of conception and that it has it's own identity (medically) yet it needs the mother's system to support life until it is fully developed for birth. We do now.
Yet, some do not want to change the law because they have built their entire philosophy of political strategy, social enginering, civil rights, power, money and the like upon this one belief, that it is alright to abort a fetus.
Abortion is just another form of birth control. It allows us, as a society, to not have to take responsibility for our promiscuous actions. We can legally get rid of the evidence, and the responsibility of parenting an unwanted child, without have to stop the behavior which causes birth. As long as I don't get caught, it is alright to behave inappropriately in our society today.
If we were to change the law, abortion would be illegal. This is a man made law dealing with an issue over which we have no control. Yet, we want to have some say in the matter.
We have legalized abortion for our own convenience, rather than because of the facts of the issue. We have begun to legalize murder in several ways in our society, because we are "civilized", and are an intelectual culture. We consider ourselves able to determine our own destiny.
If we determine that it is alright to murder someone based upon "fredom of expression" then that will be legal also. The constitution states "freedom of speach", which has been slowly developing into freedom of expression. These are two different things, yet, some are working toward this goal in order to "have it thier way" for whatever reason. Certainly not logic and common sence.

Abortion is absolutely horrible. People believe it's not murder because the child hasn't lived in the real world on it's own yet. I believe that people don't want to make it illegal because many women that are pregnant don't want their children. So they want pro-choice. But to me, a child in the womb is very alive. For example...
By day 22 the heart begins to beat with the child’s own blood, often a different type than the mother’s.
more info about it here...http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/facts/fetusdevelopment.html
Also, you can check out some of these pictures. If this doesn't convince you that each fetus is a living breathing human being, then I don't know what will.

Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
is my favorite lullaby.
Month Two
Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.
Month Three
You know what Mommy
I'm a boy!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
You sound so sad.
It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
you can't hear me.
Month Four
Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.
Month Five
You went to the doctor today.
Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
I think and feel.
Mommy, what's abortion?
Month Six
I can hear that doctor again.
I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
Mommy! HELP me!
Month Seven
Mommy
I am okay.
I am in Jesus's arms.
He is holding me.
He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?
Every Abortion Is Just . . .
One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

Depends on which stance you take i guess. Some people think that it's only a fetus until birth or up until a certain point of pregnancy. Some believe that from the moment of conception it is a person. But think about this if you hit a pregnant women in the stomach and she loses her baby you can be charged with some form of murder, but if she chooses to terminate the pregnancy it is legal.

The question as to whether & when abortion might be right should be a scientific question!
WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN!
Before life begins -
It is OBVIOUSLY a woman's right to have an abortion.
After life begins -
It is OBVIOUSLY killing a human to have an abortion.
Not that makes things simple, but that should be the basis of the argument.
You may religiously believe life begins at conception, but you can't legislate by religion.
And just because it isn't fair for a woman to have to have a baby she didn't want just because she waited to long into the pregnancy to make the decision, does that mean it's fair to kill the baby?
The question, is it a lump of tissue or a human life!
So what I'd like to see is SCIENTIFIC DATA to determine when life begins.

In Islam it is forbidden and considered Murder.
As for why its legal, its because laws are man made. And we know man does err.
So front license plates are mandatory in some states and not in others, who is right? its either an opinion or dependent on local needs.
Now I'm not comparing abortion to plates, its just shows how laws are different.
So each country or government does its best.
Islam provides a basic structure where main things are addressed. Like its stance on abortion. But leaves trivial things like license plates up to the discretion of governments.

because there are different circumstances. i just recently read an article where a stepfather injected sperm into his daughter b/c his wife couldn't conveive! how horrible! why should that teenage girl be forced to have that monster's baby?? also, what if you're raped? or you get pregnant through incest? what if your 11 yr old daughter got pregnant? abortion isn't always a bad thing. it prevents a lot of people from having horrible trauma's come to life. a lot of pro lifers will say "just give the baby up for adoption!" but lets get real. we all know millions of babies go UNadopted every year. why add another one?

It's legal because people voted people into office. And these people voted to make such a thing legal. It doesn't mean it's right or wrong, it just means there are more people who agree to it rather than disagree. And that is what voting is. To me it is not right, because I grew up knowing this, but because of laws and technicalities, it is made legal. It is not legal in other countries, which proves that right and wrong is a state of mind, and right is not always right, and wrong is not always wrong. It's usually what most people think is.

It's legal because it helps to win money to the doctors, and because the gorvenmet doesn't care about the baby
Now, stop asking this questions, that you know the answer.
