In most states your daughter and the father have all of the rights over the child, if you have reason to believe that the child is in danger then you should seek legal counsel and find out what your state says about "grandparent rights". Some states have them and others do not. Usually though they will not take away the rights of the parents unless there is VERY serious evidence to support that this would be in the best interest of the child. Both parents have joint decision making rights right now.

The law generally recognizes the parent of a child as being capable of making decisions. Just because a minor doesnt have a job doesnt mean that he shouldnt have equal access to his child. My gosh, what is it with people. Why would you want to deny the child their right to their father? Yes, he got your daughter pregnant, but news flash! Your daughter got herself pregnant too. The law recognizes that your child is now a parent, you have to let her make decisions for her child, even with grandparent rights it doesnt mean that teh law will say you are the grandparent and can make decisions for the child. Grandparents rights are typically for visitation.

The custodial parent of the minor child has the authority in most states. If your concerns are strong enough, maybe you should consider filing for custody of the minor.

I WOULD GET A LAWYER AND DON'T LET NO MINOR TAKE OFF WITH THAT BABY. CAN'T HE GET A PAPER ROUTE. NO EXCUSE FOR NOT HAVING A JOB ESPECIALLY NOW...........GOODLUCK N GOD BLESS
