Yup, that's what everyone else does!
Don't worry, most Brits aren't capable of distinguishing between US and Canadian accents. Complete the disguise by saying "eh?" a lot at the end of sentences, and complaining that in England you can't buy decent maple syrup or coffee (remember to ask for the nearest Tim Hortons and avoid Starbucks). Be careful not to say a good word about Bush, and to say how you think it's great that at last the UK has recognised same-sex unions.
They'll never know the difference.

No. Every country has a stereotype and by getting out of the "arrogant, loud, rude" American stereotype, you'll just be put into another one. Why don't you just go over there with no flag, let people assume whatever they want, and prove them wrong. Don't act arrogant, don't act rude.
It's not the Americans themselves that most people hate, it's our current government. A lot of people still like the American people which is why there are still a lot of tourists coming here. I see people from the middle east and india all the time here in St. Louis. In Portland, OR I still see a lot of Japanese tourists.
Futhermore... if you don't want the people there to hate you, i'd suggest not calling it "Europeland."
ALSO, some don't like Canada either. Canada is one of America's strongest allies. The Prime Minister there is like Bush's lap-dog.

I don't see a reason for doing it. Most Europeans despise Bush's politics and all the invasions. What I don't like about the Americans which I witnessed in my country while working as a guide were questions like: How do you live without McDonald's? Do you have tapped water? Do you know what internet is? and I'm living in South East Europe and not in central Africa. My suggestion is don't talk about politics and avoid stupid questions and you'll have a great time.

No! Try an Australian flag instead. The Erupoeans cannot distinguish the accent and you can avoid the risk of being treated as a 'dumb' Canadian.
(Aussies take the blame for that)

Not a bad idea. Canadians tend to be more polite, less assertive, less argumentative and softer spoken, than the average American.
We do not President telling the rest of the World how to behave. e.g. "If you're not with us you're against us", "old Europe", etc.

I can't tell if you're joking. You do know there's no such place as Europeland, right?
Just don't act like the typical American that you'll see over there--loud, rude, thoughtless.
