Question

i asked b4 the world cup started, "is Italy the biggest overrated team?". now with their performance in the last 2 matches, does my question stand any validity? seriously, look at their performances in the last 2 world cups and Euro. it seems that they are more preoccupied with their domestic league. anyone agrees?

No, they're not.
I think they've played better than many expected.
I still stand to what I said before. The most overrated team is England! The comments they drew after their victory over T&T on ESPN were very scathing - and reflected waht happened..

I also think that the Italians have their problems. The league at home is also having problems in regards to the scandal that is brewing with referees and manipulating at Juve (and possibly other teams). My assumption is that we will hear MUCH more about this story AFTER the World Cup.

Their trainer said himself, that they ned to focus on the job at hand (WC) and try to leave the scandal back home, but that is tough with a vicious italian yellow press.

After the US game, they are still in the saddle with 4 points, but anything can happen until then. My prediction is an undecided against Czech Republic, and the Amerians MUST win BIG against Ghana. They are not "through" by any means....

Hi, I'm Italian. In 4 days, including arriving and departure the best chioce is Venice. first of all this is the best season to visit it, then you can spend one day walking in the city, relaxing and sightseeing. In the second day, fully immersed in the unique atmosphere you can visit some relevant museums like palazzo grassi, museum of Accademia or Gugghenheim's Collection (three big museums are enough to fell you tired....). In your third day you can have a trip aroun the famous isless of Murano, Burano and Torcello, they are not only carachteristic but unique. A very few tourists travelling from abroad do it but they loose a lot. On your fourth day you can visit lots of churches and palaces and then come back to the airport wich is really near and well connected, so you won't loose a lot of time commutin from and to the airport. Enjoy your trip!
