Actually, astrology is no longer considered a science, so scientists as such would not have a lot to say about the mystical significance of planetary conjunctions.
Astronomy (the scientific study of the universe and space) is quite separate and distinct from astrology.

There have been thousands of such conjunctions in recorded history. They happen about once every two years.
They have no effect on us whatsoever.
