go to the toolbar that contains START button and right-clicck on it to get options => properties => START MENU (UP) => Customize => ADVANCED => CLEAR List (RECENT DOCUMENTS)

Go to
C:/windows/recent
and delete the files/documents in it

the you go to start>documents
u ll see it empty

Please follow this path. Right click start>Properties> start menu> customize> advanced> uncheck the box in front of the clear list and click the circles also in the scroll menu to customize other settings> ok > apply> ok. It will solve ur problem.

there is a software called ccleaner, which will delete many things besides last opened files. was featered on BBC's click online once.
