I am a patriot. A patriot loves and fights for the ideals upon which this nation was founded. A loyalist supports the current regime in power.
Pay no attention to the detractors. Your question was a fair one.

How can this man be accused of being patriotic to Nazi Germany? Nowhere in his question does he claim to support any fashion of tyranny or Fascism? At the very least, read the question properly before you attack someone.

I believe I would have been a Patriot if I lived 230 years ago or so. A Loyalist was loyal to Britain. A Patriot defended the right to independence from Britain including taxation without representation.

by your definition of patriot or loyalist, I'd have to be over 200 years old. Try to come up with a better question next time.

I don't doubt that you're a patriot, Patriot. Unfortunately your patriotism seems to be towards Germany between 1933 and 1945. You are free of course to do this as I am free to call you lower than the lowest pondlife (except you probably already know that).

As for me, I am patriotic but not in the gutter sense that fascists like you have stolen the word.

futurebtmfdr,

It's not in his question, it's in the answers this Hitler loving idiot has posted elsewhere.

Revolutionary War. The loyalist (as in stupidly loyal to King George) wanted to keep the repressive Brits in control of us. The PATRIOTS were the rebels (us).
It's backwards now, isn't it?

In general, a loyalist is an individual who is loyal to the "powers that be" or The Establishment. A person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country, sometimes excessively.is.a.patriot.

Good Question.

I am absolutely a Patriot... one of my heroes is Benjamin Franklin... That sounds pretty good to most people but what they fail to realize is that he was the "Michael Moore" of his time... a rebel who faught back by publishing revolutionary underground newspapers at 3 o'clock in the morning by candle light.
