1.) God; it is her/his purpose to spread the faith and his or her God's divine teachings.
2.) People; s/he must know who to talk to, what they do, how to influence/convert them, where to go and to appreciate why they should join his/her faith.
3.) Self; a prophet should not put him/herself in higher precedence than spreading knowledge of the faith but should understand the purpose of why they are chosen and why they must lead the faith.

A prophet knows more about what message God wants the people around the prophet to hear. That's what it means to be a prophet. A prophet is God's mouthpiece to the rest of humanity. So a prophet has to know God. Whether he knows more about God, himself or other people doesn't matter.
