If you've ever been to other countries, you'd recognize why people say that all the time.
America is NOT the best country out.
If I had to be honest, people here aren't that bright, and they're the unhappiest I've ever seen. As a naturalized citizen who used to think this country was awesome, I've always been bewildered as to why people here are always on edge, hostile and unhappy. They had a lot more than we had back home. Plus, they take every STUPID thing you SAY seriously!
That gets me sick the most of all!

It's getting tiring. People think they can clump all Americans into one big group and even worse, they think it's ok. They're basing their opinions on Americans from what they see or read. They don't think about the chance that maybe not all Americans are like what they see.

Personally, I'm sick of the denial, apologetics and rank stupidity one gets when asking Americans about the flagrant disregard of human rights being perpetrated by their government.

I'm sick of ALL labels that so many people find it necessary to attach to other people. Seems like almost everyone thinks their way of thinking is the only way and they make other people's business their business. Look at the tabloids -- why do people crave personal information about celebrities? It's not their business! Look at our court system -- it's clogged with frivolous law suits.
TOLERANCE, PLEASE!!! WE NEED MORE TOLERANCE!!!

Sometimes it annoys me...
I live in Germany and I've come to find that Europe is fixated on the USA. They follow a lot of our news, politics and entertainment.

Yes, there is never one single answer to those questions because all Americans are different. It is stupid to generalize questions about why we do things.
