For the record, we did not get to vote on the so-called Patriot Act. And as you so correctly point out, there is nothing patriotic about it.
Those who have fought to defend our Constitution must be spinning madly in their graves now, knowing what the American public is currently tolerating in the name of "security."
They are in no sense patriots who tamper with our system of justice. "True patriotism hates injustice in its own land more than anywhere else." Clarence Darrow

And they went right around Amendment IV years ago by allowing "John Doe" warrants. We lost that one ages ago.
By the way Patriot, see if you can find some information on Operation Millennium or Millennium War Games (it was a naval war game at the turn of this century). If you are low tech enough this Patriot Act will do not good.

If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear! Our constitution was not gutted, I do understand your concern but like i said if you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear.
These are not words spoken by ANY dictatorship, nor the Nazi's! This is the truth like it or not, we are in a time of war, deal with it or get out of the country! Do you people really want another 9/11? Are you people truly this ignorant?
By the way "Mac Momma", I think we all know the constitution but I guess if it makes you think you are smart to type it then go ahead, its silly but whatever makes you feel intelligent.

I think a lot of people proclaim to do this because of peer pressure, not because they think it is right. Then there are situations as to where they do it because that is something that there family done before them. It is also possible that one trys to do this to make a name for themself. If it is done for a good cause and whole heartly, then it is none better. If it is done for the wrong reason, then they need to wake up and realise where they are.

Melina... those are the words that are spoken before every dictatorship...
why don't they just have cameras in every room of every house... if you have nothing to hide... why should you care.... just put an army officer in your house... if you have nothing to hide, why should you care...
It's a sad excuse made by people who have no sense of history or the horror that that phrase has brought to millions...
But hey... it's just America... who cares.. right?

People (especially the Right Wing) are stupid. And they're SUPPOSED to believe in "less government" and "getting the government off our backs". Unbelievable.
