There are plenty of really good giant breeds. When you breed for size, you endanger the whole structure and soundness of a dog. It usually leads to bone cancers, back problems, leg unsoundness, or hip dysplasia, etc.
Best to just dream of your giant dog, and leave the breeding alone.

Breeders were trying to breed a giant size of my breed. They really messed up the breed that was perfect as it was. Now, we are breeding to undo the damage that has crept in to the bloodlines.

Breeding for giantism never works for long. The breed breaks down after just two or three generations.
It takes a minimum of 27 years to develop any new breed from crosses. And to do it that quickly would be a full time job.

Just a thought..why don't you take a look at getting a Grand Pyranees? A purebred would be safer than attempting a breeding program when you are unsure of the results.as many bad things, such as hip dysplasia are a great possibility. Check your local shelters and humane societies first..you could give a good home to an unwanted dog.

U could try mating a Great Dane with an Alsation or a big German Shepherd.

why???? Just leave the breeding alone. do you know how many unwanted pets there are because people think it is fun to breed and get cute puppies. Too much inbreeding and you will get unhealthy dogs

Saint barnard or a husky any one you pick will be the right one! All my animals find me. Im sure yours will find you even if you may be at animal shelter or a breeder. LOl i hope you ind the right one soon!

you could mate a great dane with a maremma (i think that's how it's spelt and they are pretty huge)
