if my laptop was on the whole night and when i woke up in the morning several strange things happend;
1) my start button on my taskbar shifted 2 the right and i want it back to the left hand side
2) the waiting bar for uploading things isnt there so i dont know how much has downloaded.
3) the stand by option isnt there either when i want to shut my cpu down
how can i get all these back?

restart ( if you havent already ) my laptop goes wirey sometimes after being on all night and that helps.


if not, start, control panel, performance and maintenance and look for system restore in the top left, maybe somewhere else on that screen it depends.

first run your antivirus...
second your antispyware program
third go to start-run-type cmd- then chkdsk-press enter

The Start button is located on the taskbar. Although you can't remove the Start button from the taskbar, you can move the taskbar—and the Start button along with it.

1. Right-click an empty space on the taskbar. If Lock the Taskbar is checked, click it to clear the check mark.

2. Click an empty space on the taskbar, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the taskbar to one of the four edges of the desktop. When the taskbar is where you want it, release the mouse button.

Maybe cuased by a virus, scan ur PC with CA eztrust antivirus, you can also try some anti spyware productus such as Lavasoft Ad aware and Spybot Serach & Destroy

You could try restarting your computer or you could try looking at the settings of your graphics card, it might have been rotated to the right or something. If nothing works try booting in safe mode and reinstall your graphics driver.

1) Your graphic card must have set it to "mirror"


There might have been a virus.
Youre laptop is tired.
Let it rest for a day.
If it wont solve it repair it.
