I like armadillos and hippopotamus. They are cute.

Elephant
-because they are so massive and yet so gentle with one another
-we as humans use and abuse them in zoos, as beasts of burden and in circuses and they still plod along in dignity
-here is an animal that has no natural predator (other than humans - and let's face it, we're not that natural)
-the majestic tusks (which nearly spelled their doom now have to be sawed off by park rangers in an effort to stop poachers from killing the entire animal for its ivory)
-and finally because when I was little I loved the stories of Rudyard Kipling!

Mine favorite animal is a Basset Hound! Because they are so loving and gentle!

bantam hens. I haven't owned one for years but had them as a child. I had 4 at different times. Big bants, penny, mop and blackie. They were so beautiful and each had their own little personality. I use to talk them for walks with parrot leads and walk with them on my shoulder. They were so loving, gentle and beautiful. They were friends with my cat. I remember Penny one day was grumpy and one of my cats came to give her some affection and she went the cat and the cat freaked and started running with Penny clutching onto her tail with her beak, oh what a sight. You have to own a bantam to know how beautiful they are. And they lay tiny eggs that are yummy to eat!

My pet leech because he's so cute when he uses his anterior and posterior suction cups to walk around on the sides of the aquarium walls... he can also swim quite gracefully... his bite kinda hurts though, and ended up bleeding most of the day because of his anticoagulant-laced saliva. Other than that, he's a great pet. I call him "Sucky"

Dogs..
Because they are always with you. They are all playful and whenever you need them, they are there. Choose carefully when choosing a dog because you never know, they night not be the breed for you and your lifestyle.. I have alittle Cocker spaniel and he's the best.

Turtles! Because my box turtle was one of my first pets and he is still alive now, more than 20 years later! :)
