Is the name Steve Walker apply to the "Ghost Who Walks" or the Phantom, an old comic strip?

the name just rung a bell and l rememberit may be that as l could recall in my children/s day reading that comic strip (was this authored by Lee Falk?)

Phantom ... since it was the Phantom who was actually the son of the original Phantom who took up the gauntlet ... the tradition had been passed down ever since ... that way, when the Phantom returned at a later point in time , those older criminals who thought they had dispensed with their version and witnessed the return of the Phantom would believe that their old nemesis came back from the dead.
