It depends on the country and how flexible and able to adapt to new places you are. Don't underestimate the impact of this kind of move, no matter how much you love this woman. Love alone isn't going to make this work. This will take lots of planning and preparation:

1) Have you ever visited this country before and/or for any length of time other than short vacations
2) Do you have a job lined up
3) Will you live with her or are the two of you planning on finding a new place?
4) Are you fairly adventurous about food and other cultures
5) Can you be open-minded and go without any expectations of how things "should be?" For example, in the UK they don't drink their beer cold. In some countries they'll look at you crazy if you ask for ice with a soda.
6) How good are you at navigating - you'll need to get to know how to catch public transportation or walk or bike to where you need to go because in many countries these are the best ways to get around

Good luck!

Yes, provided she's receptive to it. Life is an adventure or should be, especially if you're young. Even if things don't work out, you will have had the experience of living in another country rather than just seeing it like a tourist. You will never regret broadening your horizons but you will regret not giving love a chance. Watch the movie "Love Actually" from, I believe, 2003. It will put you in the mood for your adventure. Best of luck! e-mail me and let me know how it turns out.

Go for it. Take the leap of faith!! If you're in love, then this could be the best decision you'll ever make. If it turns out you're not meant to be, then you've had an amazing life experience, and travelled overseas. It's a win win.

I have two sons who have found girlfriends in another country and both have found women they have a connection with that is stronger than any they have had before. I think if you have met someone whom you have a very good bond with, visiting each other is fine. Moving to another country to be with someone whom you haven't gotten to know thoroughly over a period of time is risky...think about things and make the visits first :)

Good luck

Long & short of it, no! I do think that it is a grand romantic gesture though! (Not to send mixed signals... ugh...) You honestly don't know her having never met her. Have you talked on the phone? I know you're not an idiot, and have probably talked alot if you are contemplating this step, but I would definatley make it a round trip open ended ticket. (So you can leave earlier if need be!) Good luck!

If you both love eachother - and you think this is the person who you want to spend the rest of your life with - then go for it! I wouldn't move to another country unless I was engaged/married or positive that I was going to marry the person, though.

Look at where you are at with your relationship with her. If it is all you think about and you can financially handle it (that is the wise part I guess!) then do it. If you are unsure how much she feels for you yet, then secure that knowledge then go with your heart. You never know where it will lead unless you try it. As long as she is sincere with you too.

Yes it is because Love knows no boundaries. If you love her and she loves you the distance to travel the place to live will seem invisible.
