Packet sniffer?

Give me a link to download the best and free packet sniffer... for LAN...
And not a demo version.... i want it to understand the traffic flow on or through my network... i also want to be able to catch or sniff email ids being transmitted or used on the network for secuirty reasons :)
Would be nice if anyone could help me with this quick

The best and free sniffer is Ethereal. It's got everything you need and runs on a number of platforms since it is written in Java. You will also require Winpcap for windows.

A really simple and useful (i think it works on windows xp only) is "IP Sniffer" - Winpcap is also helpful here.
