I heard two friends would help each other with pulling the alarm. Would it be normal for two friends to take turns kicking the glass and pulling the handle? What would they say if they needed help with getting the handle down?

I have "tracked" this question since it was asked. I have tried my best to understand what you are asking. Obviously, this "fire alarm" you're talking about is not the standard electronic fire alarms that most facilities are equipped with, becuase on those you simply pull the lever and leave. No "teamwork" involved.

I keep thinking this must be something like a campground or other type of communal facility where the fire alarm "calls people" for help or is used as in place of an internal electronic system. Like an old school or church bell that has to be continually pulled. I also keep getting the picture of those dudes that cranked the air raid sirens back in WWII. I am still trying to figure out what the "glass" is you are referring to. I may be way off base here.

In any event, continually pulling on something that is creating a noise requies constant effort. If that's the case, I would think any help offered would be useful and appreciated.

Comment back so we can all know what it was you were talking about.

Fire alarm handles should not be behind glass. They should have easy access. Anybody should be able to pull the handle and there is no age limit on who can pull the handle. Fire hoses are sometimes behind glass.

Uh properly, if 10 12 months olds can pull the hearth alarm in faculties, then i'm effective a 13 12 months previous can. If I, because the mother, couldn't pull the alarm, he'd absolutely study a thanks to tug it. You sound like you do not have any self belief by any ability in this son of yours.

If there's a fire, there's no time to waste waiting for friends to take turns. Whoever can get it done the fastest should just do it.

the question is beyond confusing. 99% of the time fire alrm pull stations are INSIDE the building near the exits. that;s in most fire codes,
