and while we're at it-was george gay or just misunderstood?anybody have a reverence for rainbow or is it just me???

I have no idea what Zippy was.
Just reading a Wikipedia, it appears that creator Geoffrey Hayes has no idea either: "I don't think anyone has a clue what he's meant to be, but I do know why he's tangerine. It's because - like me - he's a Dundee United fan."
Maybe he's some kind of alien that as children we never questioned his existence!

I loved Rainbow. I always thought Zippy was meant to be a tortoise that somehow went wrong.
And I used to think there was something very suspect about Geoffrey climbing into bed with Bungle to be honest.
What are Rod Jane and Freddie doing these days?

I used to love watching this programme- but i never knew what zippy was either.. i think bungle & george were into each other BIG TIME!!!
i could not stand Rod/Jane & Freddie though-they were too cheesey

Sorry to assert i do no longer comprehend how George is.do no longer quote me in this yet I had heard that he became residing in Brighton with Bungle,they the two finally got here out of the closet and admitted their love for another. As for Zippy's loss of life.He merits it he became an obnoxious little git without manners and a bloody super chip on his shoulder.

yes i love rainbow,, i often hum the theme tune in my head sometimes, it comes out of nowhere.
well george was a gentle soul wasnt he, but dont mean he was gay,, but even if he was i suppose it doesnt matter. what about bungle, he was a bit special needs i thought
dont know where zippy was from but i loved him, he was the best
