I recently viewed "Broken Flowers" and thought it was a great film, but found it to be in possession of a frustrating ending! I believe that a good film should always make the audience wonder what happens next and shouldn't tie everything up in a perfect little package, but it seems that this film went a little too far. I mean, I really want to know who his son was!! It's driving me insane! What did you think?

I also thought it was a great movie and was also disappointed by the ending. I don't mind being left with some questions after a movie is over but this one seemed a bit excessive. Sure we can see Murray's character growing a little bit, but it wasn't enough to carry the whole movie.

Almost obviously, the list put together by his friend was incomplete what with him not being a professional investigator and Murray's character probably suffering from some lapses in memory. The color pink was probably a red herring as well. I am also fairly convinced that the kid at the end of the movie wasn't his.

Unfortunately, I don't think that there can be a resolution to this movie unless the writer comes out with something but I don't think the writer had a resolution in mind. I also don't think that the movie deserves a sequel unless through some kind of tangential relationship to a different movie with different characters with the only tie being that it was written by the same person.

I think Bill Murray's best straight (not played for laughs) movie was "The Razor's Edge".

I loved it, Bill murray and Jim Jarmusch, such a perfect combination, the pacing and narrative were perfect. And some scenes had such wonderful cinematography, its like the classic youth road movie, only it had been manipulated as Bill has reached midlife and the journey was given a different meaning.

But in a way the son was a Maguffin, as though Jarmusch never intended to tell us or possibly Bill never truly wanted to know.

A wonderful wonderful film.

I was actually let down by "Broken Flowers" I love Bill Murray but this was not his type of role. "Unforgiven" is good but you have to be a Western movie fan to really love it. Me, not so much.

I thought the guy who ran away was the son.

Why else was that character introduced? It was a really interesting film and Murray was really good in it.

I didn't think it was a masterpiece like it was played up, though.

loved the film.
murray does so much in the slightest gestures.
i liked the ending. i enjoy taking that seed of story and planting it in my own mind. nothing anyone else could come up with would be as satisfying to you as what you think up yourself.

It honestly disappointed me. I was expecting much better from it and only enjoyed a couple of scenes from it.
